The Manitoba Speed Skating Association is pleased to present the MSSA Club Start-up Grant!
We're commited to providing equal opportunities to speed skating in communities across the province. Our aim is to grow the sport at a grossroots level and increase membership throughout the province to continue on our legacy of excellence. We know this can be expensive, so we are offering financial and organization support to make this happen.
How the grant works
The MSSA will select one successful community a year to receive a grant of $5000 towards club start-up costs. The costs can include safety mats, skates, and other equipment needed at the club level to operate. The successful community will be responsible for raising the funds necessary to start the club. The MSSA will match funds raised by the community up to $5000. The equipment purchased becomes the property of the club and should the club not continue operations, then the equipment returns to the ownership of the MSSA.
Send it to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll inform you of next steps!
